Sunday was Ken & Alison's wedding, my final of 2009, at Highgate House in Northamptonshire, a lovely, tucked-away venue made all the better by still having a light crusting of snow everywhere on the day.The day was a wonderful, relaxed event where everyone very much enjoyed themselves.Detail shots -
The dress
Ellie the violinist -
No photos allowed in the ceremony, but managed to get a few 'grab shots'
The newly-weds, the newly-weds to be, and brotherly love (sort of)
Don't ask me why, with these girls it could have been anything - to my day (and evening) long tormenters, teasers and entertainers - thank you! every photographer needs a group like you!!
Bestman and son of the groom making his speech
The first dance
Many more to for you all to see, many thanks to Ken and Alison for hiring me and letting me be part of their day, and to Lois for helping out again. No more weddings for a few months now, see you all in 2010!
I normally blog about how much fun I, and everyone else, has at shoots, today may well be an exception as we put up with the discomfort for what are hopefully a decent set of photos of last night's snow fall, I for one still can't feel my feet!
On a side note - this was my first proper shoot with my new EOS 1Ds, Canon's flagship digital SLR, and it's withstood extreme cold, flurries of snow, as well as being unceremoniously dumped into various snowbanks when I needed to adjust settings on the strobe lights, whilst still capturing every single frame in the hair splitting sharpness demanded of a professional camera, I'm even more excited to try it out and Ken and Alison's wedding on sunday!

Yesterday was the wedding of Claire and Fris at Barnsdale Hall Hotel, after a week of being told it was going to rain heavily, we were happy to find blue skies greeting us as we drove over.Blue skies or not though, it's still November, formals were done in record time but poor Claire was still absolutely freezing by the time we'd finished with her and was very grateful to get back into a heated BMW!
